The Lever Glossary

Commitment consistency

When asking for a small, low-friction initial action.

Why it works

Once someone makes a small choice or takes a minor action, they feel pressured to keep acting in that same direction. Starting with a tiny, easy request makes them more likely to agree to larger requests later.

Example

Would you be open to a three-minute chat to see if this approach makes sense for your team?

An illustration of the mechanism, not a template. Copied verbatim it stops being persuasion and starts being the pattern everyone else is already sending.

Is your sequence pulling this one?

Paste it in and find out which levers are working, which are missing, and which single zero is capping the whole message.
